Cordele announces the return of the Georgia “World Crown 300”
Cordele, GA – Cordele Motor Speedway officials announced today the return of the legendary World Crown 300. The 32nd running of the World Crown 300 will take place October 25-26, 2024, as a precursor to “Super Fest 2025” at Cordele Motor Speedway and will be sanctioned by the UARA National Series for Super Late Models.
The 32nd World Crown 300 will pay $35,000 to the winner, and $2,500 to start.
“We have been fortunate to have raced in the Southeast events over the years, and now it is time to bring the Ricky Brooks UARA style of race management to Cordele to establish “Super Fest,” Noland added.
The World Crown was previously contested at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia. The inaugural World Crown 300 took place in 1983, with Dick Trickle scoring the victory.
The list of World Crown 300 winners includes several other all-time greats of stock car racing, including Darrell Waltrip, Rich Bickle, Gary Balough, Bobby Gill, Ronnie Sanders, and Chase Elliott.
Paul Kelley was the winningest driver in the event’s history, winning four times in 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2009. Casey Roderick won the final World Crown 300 before the track closed in 2014.
More information on Super Fest 2025 will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
